Other deals include increased pharmaceutical production in Quebec, the expansion of AI centres in Calgary and Mississauga by Indian IT firm HCL Technologies, and the sale of coal from B.C.'s Elk Valley Resources to India.
Carney sees these agreements as the foundation of a prosperous future, offering generational opportunities for workers and businesses in both countries.
And this is the part most people miss: amidst questions about India's alleged involvement in harassing Canadian Sikhs, Carney and Modi have agreed to enhance cooperation on security and law enforcement, focusing on drug trafficking and transnational organized crime.
